It has been over a year since Rockstar Games originally released its controversial yet hugely successful crime based Grand Theft Auto V. Since its release the game’s players have seen many free updates containing new guns, clothing, vehicles and more. With a still thriving online community, Grand Theft Auto V will be making the jump to PS4, Xbox One and PC on November 18th. The rerelease will be a remastered version of the game even containing new content to urge fans to replay the game on their next gen consoles. Here is a rundown of just Rockstar has changed and added to their game.
Improved Graphics and Performance: The most glaring change made to Los Santos will be the fact that it is much more visually impressive. For starters, the draw distance has been noticeably increased, meaning the game will render the environment much further than on last gen. Along with the draw distance the game will feature the ability to place a lot more traffic and NPCs on the screen at once. This will bring the city to life and really immerse players into the violent world. While not confirmed, there is speculation that the next gen versions will run at a higher frame rate that before.
Exclusive Add-Ons: Rockstar is sweetening the pot for next gen players by adding in new weapons, vehicles and activities. Specifics have not been released detailing exactly what these additions will be, but knowing Rockstar, they will be sweet. Players will also notice new wild life roaming the wilderness of San Andreas. Among these nature additions there will also be a new foliage system and enhanced damage and weather effects. For players who love the music, Rockstar is adding over a 100 new songs to the games radio.
GTA Online Additions: Players will be able to carry over their characters to the new versions of the game. In addition, players will receive $500,000 to spend in GTA online, as well as $500,000 to spend in story mode. Online will also feature an enhanced player count, with up to 30 players in a match at once. There is still no word on heists however, a feature Rockstar promised players over a year ago.
I personally can’t wait to pick up my copy and experience the game on PS4. With the amount of fun I had playing the game, there is no way I could pass up this title.
